Beach Resort Amenities in the Philippines: What Beach and Island Resorts Need

Running a beach or island resort in the Philippines is not the same as running a city hotel. Your guests swim, dive and walk on sand all day, shower two or three times, and expect the room to feel fresh every time they come back from the beach. That changes which amenities you need, how much you use, and how you keep them in stock.

Eastworld Sales Philippines has supplied hotels and resorts since 1988. Here is what beach and island resorts need, area by area, and how to plan supplies when your property is far from the city.

What makes beach and island resorts different

  • Higher usage. Guests shower after every swim, so shampoo, body wash, towels and slippers run out faster than in a city hotel.
  • Sand, salt and humidity. Linens, slippers and paper products wear out sooner, and stock needs a cool, dry storeroom.
  • Guests notice plastic. Travellers who come for clean beaches and reefs notice when a resort fills its bins with mini bottles.
  • Deliveries take planning. Many resorts are reached by boat, ferry or long drives, so it pays to order in fewer, larger shipments.
  • Peak season fills every room. The dry months, Holy Week and the Christmas holidays bring full occupancy, so stock has to be ready before the rush.

Bathroom amenities for high use

The bathroom is where resorts use the most. Most beach properties choose one of two set-ups:

  • Refillable dispensers. Wall-mounted or countertop dispensers for shampoo, conditioner and body wash, filled from gallon-size refills. They suit high usage, cut plastic and take up less space in a boat than cartons of mini bottles. See our dispensers and refills.
  • Bottles and tubes. Individual shampoo, conditioner, bath gel and body lotion in tubes, bottles or sachets, for properties that prefer a fresh set for every guest. See hotel amenities.

Add soap, shower caps, loofahs, foot files and sanitary bags, and keep extra dental and vanity kits on hand for guests who forget theirs. Many luxury brands, including Rituals, THANN and Agraria, come in dispenser format, so going refillable does not mean giving up a premium name. Read branded vs generic hotel dispensers to compare.

Guest room and linens

  • Towels: more per room than a city hotel, since guests take them to the beach and pool. Plan for extra sets in your par levels.
  • Bathrobes and slippers: rubber slippers for sandy walkways and wet floors, plus regular slippers for the room.
  • Pillows and bed linens: fresh, comfortable bedding after a long day outdoors.
  • Laundry bags: for wet swimwear and beach clothes.
  • Room accessories: hangers, door signs, umbrellas and flashlights, which guests use on dark paths and during brownouts.

Housekeeping and washrooms

Sand and salt mean more cleaning. Stock cleaning chemicals, laundry supplies and washroom products, including P&G Professional and Vinda Professional tissue, hand towels and toilet rolls, with paper dispensers for public and staff washrooms. See housekeeping supplies and our Vinda Professional guide.

Restaurant, bar and room service

Beach resorts serve food all day, from breakfast buffets to poolside drinks. We supply food packaging, paper cups and bowls, condiments and kitchen supplies on the same order as your room amenities. See restaurant supplies.

How to plan supplies for a beach or island resort

  1. Set par levels. Work out how much of each item you use per occupied room night, then add extra for beach and pool use.
  2. Order before peak season. Place your big order ahead of the December holidays and check stock again before Holy Week.
  3. Combine your orders. Put amenities, linens, housekeeping and F&B supplies on one quotation, so they travel together.
  4. Keep a buffer. Hold a few weeks of stock on site in case weather delays a boat or ferry.
  5. Store it well. Keep amenities, linens and paper products in a cool, dry room, off the floor.
